Announcement for meeting in Mexico The 6th Latin American Association of Orthodontists Meetting in Huatulco, Mexico International Congress of the Latin American Association of Orthodontists will be held March 11-14, 1998, at the Sheraton Resort in Huatulco, Oaxaca, Mexico. The theme of the meeting is "An Ocean of Orthodontic Knowledge". The speakers will feature Prof. Dr. Jon Artun from the Univ. of Wash., Prof. Dr. Annika Isberg, from the Univ. of Umea, Sweden, and selected speakers from Latinamerica. The featured speakers will speak in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish. The meeting is being organized in conjuction with the Asociacion Mexicana de Ortodoncia (AMO) and the Mexico City Association of Orthodontists (AODF). Dr. William H. DeKock, President WFO, will inaugurate the Congress. During this meeting, the Mexican Board of Orthodontics will administer (for the first time ever) the Phase 2 examination for all qualified Mexican orthodontists who desire to become board certified. Huatulco is located on one of the most beautiful beaches on the Mexican Pacific shore; the world famous ruins of Monte Alban are located close by. Due to space limitations, registrations will be accepted in order
of receipt.
