A CRAZY CAPTION CONTEST
Can you speak Koala, Aardwolf even Mammoth? What would YOU tell these patients?

The BoWoW Kids offer a on going contest seeking first captions for images of animals animated with assorted orthodontic appliances, then polling votes toward the most popular caption.

The first contest featuring "Kid Koala" depicted a Koala mysteriously in possession of a cervical headgear. The contest ran for about three months in the fall of 1996 receiving well over 100 votes on the 14 submitted captions including one clearly prompted by partisan politics (and happened to coincide with US President Clinton's visit to Australia)

In early December, 1996 the second contest began featuring "Mr. Aardwolf", an ugly Anteater with a text book Class II bite inserting(?) his Bionator. The contest ended in early March, 1997 with over 350 votes spread between the 11 submitted captions, one of which was from a practicing Orthodontist. The contest remained in a three way tie for 2 weeks, and the winner was decided by three votes.

The newest contest, opening in conjunction with publication of this issue of the Orthodontic CYBERjournal, features a character that will not only challenge your skills treating Closed Bites, but might remind more then one doctor to tactfully address their patients! Enjoy!
