At her first appointment, the girl was 11 ½ years
old. Tooth change is going on in all supporting segments. In the 1st quadrant,
16 is in contact with 14 due to the mesial tipping of 16. The x-ray of
November 1977 suggests that 55 erupted due to an occlusal filling. As a
consequence of ankylosis of this tooth and the further growth of the neighbour
teeth, 55 is submerged, such affecting 15. No differences in the developmental
status are noted between 17 and 27.
The distalization of 16 provided sufficient space for
removal of 55, hereby allowing 15 to erupt and to develop alveolar bone.
